As part of its partnership with Service Yezu Mwiza, on September 3, 2019, Gould family foundation granted Service Yezu Mwiza a donation of medical equipment. This donation consists of 74 thermometers, 10 Blood pressure monitor and 74 tape meters for the brachial perimeter.
Gould family foundation is an international organization that works in humanitarian field. Its mission is to improve the health status of poor and underserved populations in sub-Saharan Africa by supporting organizations that serve the poorest in rural or peri-urban areas, with medical equipment, biomedical support and clinical training to ensure the proper use of these facilities.
In October 2018, Gould family foundation donated an ultrasound machine to SYM. The biomedical technician of Gould family foundation, Mr. Alain BINAMUNGU, who came to hand over those equipment, points out that he was first there to see how the ultrasound scanner that the foundation had offered to SYM is helping the community to reduce neonatal and maternal mortality rate.

As there was a need for basic equipment, especially for community health workers who go to the field with mobile clinic, this foundation thought at SYM by bringing in another donation of anthropometric measuring equipment, including Blood pressure monitors, thermometers and tape meters for the brachial perimeter.
« I am happy that SYM continues to offer its services, to reach these poorer communities and also to see that it has a plan for a better future. I am also happy to bring the help of the Gould family foundation which will bring something more about what Service Yezu Mwiza is doing. » added biomedical technician from Gould Family Foundation.
The head of the clinic Martin Royackers Dr Bella, warmly thanked the foundation for this help, which came at the right time because the equipment available to SYM was not sufficient. She also assured that those equipment will contribute to improving the quality of services offered to beneficiaries by Service Yezu Mwiza.
