The NUREM project initiated by Service Yezu Mwiza (SYM) aims to improve the well-being of vulnerable people living with HIV / AIDS and their families.

Through this project the SYM, wants to strengthen the economic capacities through a series of micro-projects generating income also called Income Generating Activities (AGR) in order to make them autonomous.

"Thanks to the income-generating activities through the NUREM project, SYM has taken us out of our stigmatizing thoughts but also prepares us to become independent by working together to better support our needs and those of our families." Pascasie, beneficiary of the project

SYM has realized that protecting the rights of children is achieved through the provision of basic needs by families, who must therefore mobilize permanent resources to ensure the protection of their children, to ensure their education and to preserve their health.
«Some of the income from our culture of amaranths allows me to pay the schooling of my daughter who studies in a private school and another part we try to repay the credit." Odette beneficiary of the project

"This project changed a lot my life, before I went to work for others, today I work on my own. In addition to that, as I do not have my own house yet, this income allows me to pay the rent and also to provide the basic needs of my family.”Ibrahim project beneficiary

Note that these groups of Kinyinya beneficiaries have started cultivating the amaranths in Gihogo and Rukaramu, a sort of vegetable that only lasts three weeks to start yielding the crop.
They testified that at the time of harvest, they take a portion for consumption and sell another portion to generate income that is used to repay the credit and provide for the needs of their respective families.
