"Follow the training on business management, the establishment of solidarity groups through income-generating activities initiated by Service Yezu Mwiza thanks to the support of the Jesuit Mission of Nuremberg (https: //www.jesuitenmission.de) has helped me a lot to change my mindset and our way of life.
First of all, I thank SYM for thinking of us, since some in our community say that they cannot lend money to a vulnerable person, supposedly because they risk dying without having honored their commitments. This was a major handicap for us, because we were not able to do the development activities.
But through these training sessions, I have personally discovered that our vulnerability has also been compounded by ignorance. I learned that working together in small groups of 3 to 4 people through income generating activities and solidarity groups will enable us to look after each other. This strengthens social cohesion within our community, but also helps us get out of poverty".
