Working as a Volunteer at Service Yezu Mwiza has allowed me to deepen my knowledge about the care and support of people living with HIV. Today, as responsible of SYM mobile clinic, it allows me to be closer to patients both medically and socially. The patients are more open and confident and I can treat them knowing their needs, their living conditions and their daily challenges. The mobile clinic contributes a lot to improving the care and follow-up of PLWHIV. Thanks to this strategy, SYM beneficiaries receive their ARV drugs on time and consequently their viral loads become undetectable, which allows us to move at a considerable speed towards the WHO targets of 95-95-95. My mission is to make this mobile clinic a beacon of hope for these beneficiaries, the majority of whom come from disadvantaged backgrounds.
