Service Yezu Mwiza has been implementing RAFG-Activity project in HIV care since October 2019 thanks to FHI 360 support in the provinces of Gitega and Rumonge. HIV care includes indexed and targeted screening, tracking of those lost to follow-up and therapeutic education through support groups. We support health care providers in 8 health structures in Gitega province through capacity building training, especially in indexed screening. This method is part of SYM way of doing things, i.e. a community approach of the SYM mobile clinic. The beneficiaries of that one are estimated today at 2,000 people in this province. That is an added value in the fight against HIV-AIDS. Thus, a set of good practices and lessons learned have been shared without forgetting that several positive HIV cases have been registered and put on treatment. Finally, it should be noted that the project meets the objectives of UNAIDS vision 95-95-95, the accelerated screening of family members of PLWHIV, organizing of visits for the active notification of sexual contacts of PLWHIV, adaptation of pre- and post-test counselling to the new "test and treatment" approach, implementation and generalization of the appointment system by 2030.
