Indexing is hard work, which requires more precaution and vigilance because the people we are looking for in these cases are often those who are hiding. Sometimes the indexed person categorically refuses and in this case the chain is broken, we have to start another chain. What drives me to continue despite these many challenges is that the indexed screening approach gives us a much greater chance of finding positive cases. Which contributes to the mastery of HIV. If I find a positive case, it gives me a sense of joy as not only a life is saved by the fact that we directly under treatment, but also the lives of those that the latter could contaminate unknowingly.
