At a time when we had lost the joy of living, Service Yezu Mwiza came to us like an angel descended from heaven and gave us hope for a better tomorrow. Through the Nurem Project, SYM sent us an agronomist who trained us on how to set up and maintain a kitchen garden. Thanks to the goats he then gave us, we no longer need to buy manure at the market; rather we use goat dung as a fertilizer. These kitchen gardens make a huge contribution to our diet. The goats are multiplying more, the earnings serve me as school fees for my children. Sometimes our neighbors also fall back on our kitchen gardens when they need vegetables, not having the means to buy them. Today, I and my family are valuable people in society, we who before were singled out for the illness associated with poverty. Long live the SYM!
