With a view to empowering families of people living with HIV, families held by orphans and other vulnerable children, families held by poor widows, unemployed youth, families of the sick and former leprosy and all poor families in general,Service Yezu Mwiza(SYM) encourages, initiates and supports income-generating activities in the communities it serves.

These income-generating activities are: petty trading, agriculture, small and large livestock breeding, supply of goods and services. Yezu Mwiza Service focuses on income-generating activities through groups and solidarity groups or associations. Yezu Mwiza Service trains beneficiaries of income-generating activities on micro-project management, savings and credit, and sustainable development. It also offers a starter kit and initial capital for newly trained beneficiaries.

  • Action Damienfor the economic recovery of 342 patients and former patients with leprosy in the endemic areas of leprosy in Burundi;
  • Jesuiten Nuremberg mission mission to promote the financial autonomy of 200 families held by poor women in Bujumbura province;
  • Segal Family Foundation for the economic recovery of 68 groups of 783 women of childbearing age.
